The following summary is to help you learn more about the OwnAStandardbred fractional ownership program trained by Francis Dumouchel and Maddi Henry.
OAS 2021 IN RETROSPECT - Highlights to August 31, 2022 - 1. All 5 yearlings purchased in 2019 raced successfully as 2 year olds - 2. 4 of the 5 horses have been sold and the purse money earned plus their sale price averaged 124% of their original purchase price - 3. Twin B Jammer remains as a 3 year old and has 11 top 5 finishes in 14 starts this year including wins with one in the OSS Grassroots and a best time of 1:50.4 - 4. OAS is nimble and dynamic and as such we have made a payout to the owners in 2022 and have decided to retain Twin B Jammer into his 4 year old year OAS 2022 IN RETROSPECT - Highlights to August 31, 2022 - Three yearlings were purchased in 2021. Hurrikane MsRodine (win and mark of 1:55) and Twin B Risenshine (two OSS Grassroots wins and two top 5 in OSS Gold stake races with a best time of 1:52.4) have been racing this year. Stonebridge Ubet is training down and expected to qualify this year coming back after a near catastrophic paddock injury. THIS YEARS' PROGRAM - The OAS 2023 program is virtually the same as prior years. The original funding amount is $2,500 and can be increased in increments of $500. There is intended to be 3-5 yearlings of which the group will own 20% -25%. Ownership % is based on your proportionate share of funds contributed to the OAS 2023 stable. The fundamental concept of the group is to budget to cover all costs of purchasing, training and maintaining the yearlings of 2022 through to December 31, 2023. Owners will receive detailed and frequent communications on the horses via email, photos, website and the YouTube channel where you can experience the horses through the eyes of the Facilitator if you are unable to visit the farm. The target number of owners is approximately 20 individuals. |
