TRAINER

Francis Dumouchel is the trainer of the OAS2021and OAS2022 shared standardbred ownership groups.
Francis has worked with standardbreds for 16 years. His early years were spent with Gerard (Gerry) Demers. He has worked with Tony Alagna, Luc Blais and for the most recent 5 years with Blake Macintosh.
Francis is a rising star. He has seen success with Sunshine Beach filly, Twin B Sunkissed in the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold series, Champlain, Eternal Camnation, She's A Great Lady stakes and Simcoe stakes. Francis shares ownership in the filly with his partners who also own interests in the OAS horses.
2021 was an exceptional year for Francis along with assistant trainer Maddi Henry and local driver Travis Henry who share ownership in several of the OAS horses. Each of the yearlings purchased in the fall of 2020 qualified, raced and finished in the top three during their 2 year old year.
We look forward to the upcoming year as the OAS2021 horses race as 3 year olds and the three OAS2022 horses try to keep the pace with the OAS2021 group.

MEET THE FACILITATOR

The facilitator of the group is Jackie McManus, a long time standardbred enthusiast, owner and photographer.
She developed the vision for Own A Standardbred from her experiences in three other fractional ownership / horse sharing groups and private partnerships.
She looked to combine the most appreciated aspects of all other groups into a new cost effective structure that appeals to a new or wider participant base. What started as a Southwestern Ontario concept, OwnAStandardbred, participants reside across Ontario and in the United States.
Jackie is the main source of the information flow to the group. She is the website developer, photographer, videographer, and as a professional accountant by trade, responsible for budgeting, record keeping and reporting. Participants receive in-depth weekly emails. Photos are updated on the website and videos are available on the OwnAStandardbred YouTube Channel .
She would like to see others develop their own fractional ownership groups to help the viability of their stable and the industry. There is not a "one size fits all" formula to fractional ownership and OwnAStandardbred.com is one that promises to be "Just A Little Different From Everyone Else" For complete details, please visit the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
